True, but I know the original inside out. Because I have played most of the Uncharted games. The story is completed within each. Midgar isn't a complete story, it is just the beginning, again I've played FFVII. When Cloud (and company) depart from Midgar, there is no clarity around what exactly is going on. Cloud's background hasn't even been developed. It won't be a full story. Many characters won't even be introduced within the Midgar piece. We have all played FFVII, we know what the full story is and it is more than Midgar. Especially as it pertains to Cloud's character development. Xenosaga says hi. Also Square themselves have called FFVII episodes. What I personally find amusing is the anti episode agenda. FFVII being episodes may not be a bad thing. It could turn out to be one of the most impressive games to date. I am not sure why people view episodes as a negative. A full game is being remasters via multiple parts... episodes. Really it is that simple. |
Yes you have played Uncharted and the original FF VII. But they will certainly change the story and will implement stuff they have put on other FFVII material to make it a full story or at least compelling introducting the sequel (Soul Reaver was pretty clear on having sequel but being self contained first game).
As said in the thread, they said episodes and fast corrected.
I have no problem with it being episode, as long as priced correctly, but they changed the PR to full games.
