Nope.  MS has stated on more than one occasion that gamepass, Xcloud is the future.  MS will be pushing to make both very successful and since Xcloud and gamepass really go very well together it make sense that MS would want them on as many platforms as possible.  Would you consider this any different from Google Standia.  Do you believe Google cares if you use their could service on Xbox, PS or Nintendo system, No.  From interviews, it seems MS is already trying to get away from the console wars and move into new territory.  That territory is where content is king and the hardware can be considered like a PC where any vendor can create the hardware to run it.

The problem is the "Has no futher plans to bring first party games to other platforms" statement from a few days ago.

If they want to go 3rd party just be truthfull and admit it, which seemingly this "our future goal is gamepass on all platforms" kinda is.
You know the only reason they re trying not to say that, currently is because they wish to sell you a Xbox Two, as a place to play Xbox exclusives.

Imagine if mid gen, the PS5 gets gamepass?
At that point, was the purpose of owning a xbox two?

One guy says they have no plans to bring some first party games to non-MS platforms.

Other guy says they’d prefer to have GamePass everywhere, but no plans right now.

Ignoring the fact that the bottom line with both comments is that there are no plans, it’s clear that to Microsoft, their goal is for Xcloud and GamePass to be a platform. If years from now GamePass is on Switch and PS5, that’s a win for MS.

Also the point of owning a Scarlett in that scenario is MS will still sell all those GamePass games at retail and most people would still prefer to either have the physical copy or own the digital copy. Whereas on PS5 the only way to play Halo Infinite would be to subscribe to GamePass and stream it with Xcloud.

As if Sony wouldn’t love for PSNow to be on every console? Either way, reading both of those comments, would you be able to stroll into GameStop and buy Halo Infinite or Outer Worlds 2 for PlayStation? No.
