One thing I did notice is that the sequel is been developed by a completely different studio which is quite weird in itself whilst KSP1 developers will continue to support the first game.

That's probably because Squad, that created and made the first Kerbal, sold the IP to Take-Two who, in turn, has chosen one of their in-house studios to develop the sequel instead of spending extra money hiring the makers of the first one.

Oh right, it's going to be interesting since Squad will continue to support and update it along side KSP2.

Any more info about it as in how much new stuff there is or what you noticed look new/different from the reveal other than graphics? I never actually got around to KSP after coming close to jumping in a few times after a friend of mine kept telling me how great it is with the many hundred of hours he put in.

Yeah...new technologies, colonies (which then can eventually launch ships) and interstellar travel. Oh, and multiplayer.

There was lot of these things in KSP already if you mod it (even warp drives), but I'm glad to see full revamp of the game (hopefully on better engine than Unity).
It's really stellar (again, pun intended) game (loosely speaking) for everyone interested in space exploration.

Ah colony/base building that's great always a sucker for that :) I'm looking forward for more info on what scale of MP they offer whether it's hop in with a friend or 2 or something wider such as visiting other colonies and seeing a larger server of others in the universe.

Maybe I should grab the first game whilst it's on sale.. hmmm
