Probably a record that will stand for quite some time. Sony did a good job. Wii could’ve and should’ve still had this record, but that system took forever to get from 95 to 100.

If you were on VGChartz during the 2007-2010 time period you most likely remember how the Wii was just obliterating the PS3 and 360, selling more than those two combined, week after week, month after month, and it went to the stratosphere in December 2009 because of NSMB Wii, then I think in 2010 it started going down and if I´m not mistaken sales fell off the cliff around 2011 and totally lost its momentum.

I don’t really mean to start a whole conversation about this because it’d derail the thread, but evidently Sony had been better at longevity than Nintendo. Such a sad end to the Wii, it could’ve gotten to 120-130 for sure. I didn’t lurk here for long before joining, so am here since about 2011/2012 and yeah I’ve read the stories about Wii’s good days.
