I´ve been craving a jrpg to play on the Switch after Xenoblade 2 massively dissapointed me and Octopath failed to ignite my interest, though I never played a FE game this one is piquing my interest.

I am not really sure playing it because of the "JRPG" label is very accurate. Fire Emblem is a completely different kind of game than Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or Octopath Traveller. To put it another way, it's like being disappointed in Super Mario Odyssey as a Mario game and then going for Super Mario Kart instead.

Final Fantasy 12 would be significantly closer to Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

There are numerous other RPGs closer to Octopath Traveler; including FF7, and some other games like FF9 and I am Setsuna. Dragon Quest 11 is something sort of in the middle.

Fire Emblem is much more like the Disgaea series, Mario vs. Rabbids (though I haven't played it), and Banner Saga (haven't played that one either), although it has its differences.

Not saying you won't like Fire Emblem, but it's not the sort of game you think it is.
