Infinity War and Endgame have kind of made all of the films really profitable. In phase 1 and phase 2 there were lots of films not crossing $1 billion. Now it is kind of expected. It's really because it's a whole universe. There are enough people out there that consider most Marvel movies to be "must see".
Basically Kevin Feige had a really smart plan. It took about 10 years to pull off, but now it is seriously paying off at the box office. The popularity of the Avengers films spills over to make the other MCU films make $1 billion or more.
