And that's all of those who do. 4 games, and those are mostly unlocked due to backlash hurting them or fear over backlash if they don't allow it. If they really would have changed their minds then many more games would be able to be played cross-play and it wouldn't even be up in the air by the time of his tweet.

In other words, Crossplay for Borderlands 3 isn't anything near approved by Sony.

"mostly unlocked due to backlash hurting them or fear over backlash" - If you believe that's the reason, why do you think they'd stop with Borderlands 3?

"If they really would have changed their minds then many more games would be able to be played cross-play" - It's a new thing, and crossplay games don't release that often, but if you can name a game that's released in the past few months that doesn't support crossplay on ps4 but does on other consoles let me know.

Crossplay for Borderlands 3 will almost certainly be approved by Sony. Why do you think they held out for so long on the Fortnite thing? Because they knew once they accepted one game they'd have to accept them all. You can't just stop.

Because outside of the next CoD, they waited for the backlash to happen, tried to sit it out, and only when they saw that wasn't working were they actually acting on it. Borderlands 3 might get crossplay down the line, but that will only be in a couple months after tons of players and pretty much all major media outlets called them out upon.

I checked, and not many multiplayer titles released this spring, and those who did didn't have any crossplay feature at all, though MK11 intends to implement crossplay later down the road, and it will be interesting if PS4 is included or not.
