White people are told to go back to their country. I've seen it happen a few times. But that isn't racist it's just mean.

You're just jumping to conclusions since the people were brown and black. The statement itself of telling someone to go back to their country to help fix it in general isn't racist. Now if someone said you're black or brown and don't belong here then go back to your country than that would be racist.

Why does their race matter? The comment is still pretty mean in general.

You are correct, its not racism, its prejudice and it's just as prevalent and destructive as racism.  No matter how much you sugar coat what Trump said, mean is the least of it.  What that statement shows is his true thought process and how he think about people of color.  It's a statement hate groups have used on countless times throughout the years and its something people of color are very familiar hearing from such people.  The fact that it slipped out of Trump tweeting fingers is just another insight into who he really is.

One good thing about Trump is when he make these foolish slip ups, he will never back down and double down on his statement.  I cannot wait to seem him continue to sink into another dumb tweet showing the world again how much of an idiot he can be.  I believe I will go and purchase some popcorn, this should be entertaining for at least a week.

Ya'll are the ones bringing up their race. Yeah the tweet is bad but Trump tweets bad things to people he does not like or people that come after him it's just how he operates. The progressives could have been white and he would have tweeted something nasty too.
