The pocket change I give to homeless sometimes is a tiny amount compared to what I make but it might mean the world to them.

It probably doesn't but I am sure if you believe that, it means all the world to you more than them. I am sure a person who doesn't actually put any time helping a homeless person get back on their feet probably would think that.
