No Man's Sky's Sean Murray says devs should be quiet after a rough launch
During his keynote at dev conference Develop: Brighton, Hello Games' Sean Murray offered some advice for developers facing the type of troubled launch that No Man's Sky experienced when expectations and reality collided. It's simple advice but undoubtedly harder than it sounds: stop talking.

Bake 'n Switch is a four-player party game about bread, the munchies, and an ancient curse
The world of Bake n Switch is an odd one. Generations ago, the First Bakers battled a relentless enemy known as the Scourge by mashing cute little dough creatures together and then shoving them into ovens to bake them into loaves of bread which would be used to summon the eternally munchies-suffering Guardians, who would then fight the Scourge and eat the bread. But there was a dark price to be paid...

Some kind of Rain World announcement is coming this week
The post-apoc platformer Rain World is really good—"For those with the time and patience, Rain World will prove unforgettable," we wrote in our 80% review—and really hard. The "time and patience" bit probably should have been bolded, italicized, and underlined.

Watch the first trailer for Haven, the romantic RPG from the maker of Furi
Earlier this year, Furi developer The Game Bakers announced Haven, an RPG about lovers on a lost planet. The description at the time was pretty vague: It's playable alone or in two-player coop, and "the only thing that matters is to stay together." Today the studio revealed a little more about what's coming, including the first-ever gameplay trailer and a rundown of basic gameplay.

DayZ battle royale 'Survivor GameZ' is returning, but its founders aren't involved
DayZ, the game about roaming a Russian wasteland looking for can openers (among other things), is getting a battle royale mode in the form of Survivor GameZ. DayZ veterans will recognise the name: it's the name of a mod and tournament founded in 2012 by former DayZ Creative Director Brian Hicks and Jordan Tayer, back before the core game went standalone. Now, six years later, it's coming to the official standalone game.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is getting new enemies
Mechanicus was one of the better Warhammer 40,000 games to come out in recent years. Squad level turn-based tactics with a layer of exploration on top, it pitted cyborg cultists of the Adeptus Mechanicus against the skeletal, robotic Necrons.

Super Monkey Ball gets rated in Taiwan for PC

Play the free demo for Bone Oblitum, an authentic, dark take on Zelda
Bone Oblitum really captures the feel of Zelda, particularly its top-down entries on the SNES and GameBoy. The difference being that it's a little darker in tone, a little more accepting of blood and bones, but without being all edgy about it.

Fortnite has a new grenade that summons airstrikes
Fortnite's latest update introduces a new kind of grenade into the world. It's harmless, don't worry—unless you're terrified of red smoke. What you really have to worry about is what that red smoke attracts. It's an airstrike, and you should get out of the way.

A free-to-play Lord of the Rings MMO is being developed by Amazon
Amazon Game Studios' latest project is an MMO based on Lord of the Rings in collaboration with Chinese publisher Leyou Technologies Holdings. It will be a free-to-play affair and let players explore Middle-earth with mates long before the events of the trilogy.
