According to Sony itself, they are focusing on First party, Big budget, story based, PS exclusives.
The article that was cited here was based on a no-name source, who is said to be well informed. So basically pure hearsay. According to me, this article was written for two purposes:
1. To get clicks
2. To smear PS reputation and make it look like antigamer.
By the way, I know just one 3rd party game where Sony has had timed exclusivity, and that is Destiny. Considering that it was a new IP, and it has had several rough seasons, I would say Sonys commitment has probably helped to get Destiny over its crisis. Is that so anti consumer.
Any other 3rd party games with Sony exclusive content out there?
