Well for one, BIoware is basically dead at this point, and for another, their home was more or less on PC/Xbox, so it'd make more sense for MS to buy them.
Personally I'd rather they just be put out the shed and shot, because they're so far gone from their glory days, that there is no possible redemption in sight. Another option I'd resort to is just keeping the game multiplat, so everyone could play the game, rather than being locked to console hw and being limited in scope and tech.
That said, I'm a bit amused at the option of Nintendo having the studio exclusive to them, given the opening preference.
