Trump didn't call all illegal immigrants rapists and criminals with absolute language. In the very same press conference he referred to them as good people.

And again, you just glossed over the "they let you do it" without even realizing you had reinforced what I said. I'm not saying Trump is a good person. Most people who end up president aren't good people. Hell, Bill Clinton was one of the best presidents and he lied under oath about cheating on his wife in the White House.

Call him out on policies. Call him out on the decisions he makes as president that affect the nation. But you were so worried about talking bad about him that you couldn't even be bothered to do so. 

First I am not glossing over anything because I am taking his words to mean exactly what it means not trying to find some stupid hidden meaning to it.  If some guy came to your home and made the exact same statement before asking you if they could take your daughter out what the hell would you think.  Maybe you live in this fantasy world where someone who acts like Trump really isn't the predator he is but I know way to many guys who think like him.

Here is the thing and I have said this before.  I have no problems with some of the things that Trump takes on but since he is an idiot everything he touches turns to crap.  First lets talk about the Tariffs.  I have no problems with him challenging China or even using Tariffs against them but since he is an idiot, he continue to try to win this whole thing through twitter.  He make public statement that he will force China to do what he wants which is an absolute no no if he was trying any real negotiations with China.  Since he and his administration wanted to go alone without working with everyone else it made it much easier for China to play the waiting game because just American wasn't going to make them change their policy.  Then you have the idiot trying to apply tariffs to everyone which means you are fighting battles on all fronts believing that other countries were just going to accept the tariffs and move on.  Only an idiot thought that but we can go on and on how dumb he is on that front.

Lets take immigration.  Nothing wrong with him taking on this policy but since Trump is an idiot and his administration is built with people who have no clue what they are doing he goes about doing things in a stupid way.  I had no problems making the law that any illegal crossing is a crime but taking away people children with no ability to return them back to their parents was just idiotic.  Its the type of stupid amoral thing an idiotic does believing this is being hard but has the reverse effect.

Lets take healthcare.  Nothing wrong with him taking on this very important issue but since Trump is an idiot and his administration is built with people who have no clue about such complex issues, his solution was nothing. Instead the solution is to get rid of everything instead of building on what works.

Next you have the tax cuts which he and the GOP tried to make like this was something every American will benefit from.  Others have already added to that part of the discussion but we all know that was a con job.

Next we can talk about how he was going to bring back steel to the US, guess what, that did not happen.  Not only did the steel tariffs not bring back steel plants to America but they are on a layoff spree and closing plants because of the tariffs.

Really, I can go on and on about his policies and his administration all day long and we can open another thread on that one.  He showed the same stupid idiotic management when running his businesses and he took it to the White House.  While you may believe just because someone opinion of Trump is negative its the result of the media, but my opinion of Trump is because I did my homework.  I highly doubt you knew anything about Trump and still do not know anything about him.  I am willing to bet you did not do any research on him before or even after he became president and instead your whole ideal of him is based on that dumb TV show of his believing him to be a smart businessman.

He didn't say maybe. He said he assumes some are good people among those coming into the country illegally. Out of context or in this conversation if you said "maybe your mom is not a whore", then you'd probably get a warning or a ban. Now, a discussion concerning a rise in prostitution among 50-60 women that included that? I'd assume it meant you didn't think my mom was a whore.

What's that? A comment on a Trump policy instead of just calling him racist? Color me surprised. I'm not an economist, but I would assume the President of the United States (who has shown in the past that he defers to the wisdom of people who know what they're doing, such as with his chance from a wall to a fence at the suggestion of border control) would probably have a guy in his cabinet who knows a little more about economics than I, a dip who just gets exhausted from all the Trump Anxiety people try to spread, or you, a guy who thought the name Machiavellian was a good faith name for someone arguing politics.

And then a 180 back to the inane. What's amoral about a wall? What about their plans are stupid? How are they idiots? Are you just going to throw a bunch of insults around and make an attempt at moral posturing, or are you going to make a point?

And again, insults. This time without the moral posturing at least, but now it's just insults. "Trump's plans are bad because he's dumb". Great argument, genius, I'm totally convinced.

A quick google into that one about the Steel Industry shows a back-and-forth between Trump and never-Trump that I don't care to get into. There are reports from October that show surges, and reports of "insiders" from January that clash with what Trump claims... Seems like something worthy of a discussion, but it doesn't seem like something I would drop into a "Trump bad" column so readily.

Can you? Because you've really only made one solid point about trade tariffs another another hot-take point about the nuance currently surrounding the steel industry. Instead, you just called him and his administration dumb a lot, which makes it seem more like you watch Maddow a lot rather than actual news. It seems your homework comes from one kind of source rather than a spread of sources, and the result is the thought process that insulting someone a lot makes you correct. Which would make you more like Trump than you'd probably like to admit.

And for the record, I voted for Bernie and never watched any of Trump's shows. I knew the "you're fired" meme and that he was in Home Alone, but that was the extent of my knowledge concerning Trump before he was elected. I just get tired of the Trump Derangement Syndrome that the media has stirred up in people. It was annoying when Fox did it to Obama, and it's even more annoying when everyone else does it to Trump. Argue policies and research statements. An insult isn't a valid substitution for an argument.
