I love 2d Metroid games but I couldn’t get into the prime series, I loved the shooting as much as the platform ig, by making the game first person they overly simplified the platforming elements which I greatly missed also they included the scan every inch mechanic, so I think first person works really well with shooters, but adventure and platformers just don’t work for me in fp.
