YW4 could be the resurrection of the franchise. The next couple Famitsu charts will get pretty interesting.

"Resurrection" is a funny way to spell "massive decline."

YW2 first week in Japan = 1.2 million

YW3 first week in Japan = 632,135

YW4 first week in Japan = 100,000-130,000 (if YSO predictions are accurate)

People talking about the original YW game's slow start... that was because it came out in 2013, and only really took off after the anime in 2014. There's no new upcoming anime on the horizon that's going to suddenly appear and save YW4.

Well, apparently YW4 is much better than it's predecessors, so with word of mouth, it could very well have a long tail end and get the IP back on track. It's sales might be lower than YW3 in the end even with a long tail end, but if it does get the IP back on track, it would stop the decline and allow for it's successor to sell more again.

That's what I meant by resurrection, not that the sales jump up again first week.
