op you started to wander with your thoughts fairly soon into your first post, your "just read the question and answer it" would be fine if not for the fact that your question is layered in your own feelings on the matters going on here. Would need to unravel your feelings before answering.
Honestly the 2 ways I look at EA being manky about putting games on the Switch is this... 1. they're EA, they're weird when it comes to bringing their games to places and have been shown in the past to cost themselves sales if they have a "grudge" against some aspect of where the games are selling (ie steam) but at the same time and far more importantly for me is this 2. They're EA, I don't care a sod about their games, I could go my whole gaming life without ever playing any EA title and honestly I would lose nothing, none of my favourite games over the last 30 years in the hobby have featured the EA logo and I feel I could go on gaming until the day I die and that wouldn't change.
No EA titles on a platform for me is a bonus rather than a negative, so I'm not going to fight for them to port their stuff to it.
