The PS4 and Xbox one were very similar...the PS4 being more power (has for the most part delivered even most recent games at 1080p while the base Xbox One has sunk as low as 864p in titles like RDR2)...from what I have seen both next gen consoles have a similar architecture...I assume the gap will be close one way or the other...I think Collin is a Sony guy so I can't really trust anything he says...wait until digital foundry has their final say.

He is definitely a Sony guy but he never held back criticizing them, For instance he has maintained that Xbox one has done more than PS3 did in relation to gaining  back the user base after disastrous start, Always praised xbox for BC, and criticized Sony for not having it. Praised Xbox one X opposed to PS4 Pro.. So when he says PS5 is powerful he might definitely know something considering he is friends with many developer who used to work with him at IGN

He remains a Sony a guy, until digital foundry does an analysis of the hardware I won't put stock on his word or anybody else's. Plus if he said that about Xbox One in regards to the PS3 situation he is wrong. The PS3 had a horrendous start but had a stellar second half and in fact did beat out the 360 in the end. The Xbox One will be lucky if it surpasses SNES numbers it won't get near 360 or PS3 numbers. Microsoft lost a lot of ground with Xbox One.
