I still hold E314 and 17 in high esteem, just that this year managed to floor me a lot more than the others. All 3 had a lot of quality games to show, but the moments of pure joy and shock came more this year for me.
14 had Captain Toad, Star Fox and the return of the Canvas Curse style of gameplay for Kirby.
17 had my favorite trailer of all time with Odyssey, Star Allies and Metroid.
And this year man, Luigi's Mansion 3 oozing with charm, No More Heroes 3, the sequel of BotW, quality newcomers for Smash Bros. after my disappointment with Joker, Panzer Dragoon out of nowhere.
Just overall feel that the high highs of this year surpass in quantity the highs of the other years for me.
