As a business decision I understand that fully. This is likely to be the avenue most lucrative for them. What I am saying though is to the consumers, the necessity of having an Xbox One or getting their Next Gen console is essentially dead, and you are likely better off Doubling down on Nintendo and/or Sony who have unique exclusive experiences with the bonus of getting Game Pass via other devices(PC, Phone, maybe even Switch and larger stretch .....PS5). Gamepass was showing tremendous value during their show.....at the expense of ever wanting to buy their console or even just native versions of their games. It is strangely circular. |
If you have all those different options to play Xbox Games, then there isn't any point in buying an Xbox. I don't have a PC that can play the latest games so my only option to play Xbox Studio Games is to buy a console or stream now. I would rather buy a console in that case. A very large portion of people only play consoles, so if they want to play Xbox games like Halo, they will buy a console.
