The mist Val wasn't so bad actually, but the fire Val was a battle. Then the Queen destroyed me, again, and again, and again...

Tried the Queen at low level 8. Played on challenge for like 2 hours and didn't come close. Got myself up to 8.5 ish and tried again for about half an hour but no chance. Dropped down to balanced. Tried for another hour. Got her down just below half a few times, otherwise she still made a fool of me. Got myself up around 8.75, tried for another half hour and really didn't do much better. Dreadfully dropped down to story. Fought her for over an hour before I finally beat her, and when I did, surprisingly, I almost had full health and only had used rage once and didn't revive.

Tried all sorts of different gear, enchantment and runic combos, but nothing seemed all that much better than the other. Having high (fast) cool down seemed to be the most useful to me. You have to learn her moves and combos and pay super close attention because some of the prep for her attacks look similar to others initially, and if you try to attack and are wrong, you pay the price dearly. If you don't attack/intervene and should have, you pay regardless. lol. That very last purple eye portion was a battle in itself boy.

The fact that this game got me to go to these lengths says A LOT. For even a good game, I would've spent half an hour before I leveled up enough then dropped down to story and just finished the Queen as soon as I could. The time in which I spent trying to defeat her, was totally worth it though.

Now just to find the last couple artifacts and ravens and I'll have my platinum trophy.

I really feel they've screwed up with balancing the queen. Every other valkyrie took me a couple of tries at most to learn the attack patterns. I had zero chance with the queen even at nearly 9th level. I see her attacks easily enough but they come just too quickly. Once I dropped down the difficulty, however, it was a piece of cake. Tbh the main problem was her Valhalla attack. It does waaay too much damage and is nearly impossible to dodge. If not for it I wouldn't have to reduce the difficulty. Perhaps timing a rage when she initiates it would've helped but I didn't think of that.
