Reviewers/Critics are a joke.
I saw one reviewer who reviewed both movies and his 2014 review complained that there was too much human drama and not enough Godzilla. His review for this movie was too much monsters and not enough Human Drama.
I have found some reviewers love companies or actors/actresses and become extremely biased towards them. My thoughts on this movie are that critics are die hard in love with that Millie girl and thus if she isn't in like 90% of the scenes they are upset.
