But I guess you're right, it's portable while all the other don't.

It doesn't strictly need to be portable, but that certainly helps on the Japanese market these days.

About the argument of power, did y'all ever thought about those first party Nintendo games running on a more powerful console can make better experience? Just like Xenoblade chronicles 2, it would be an excellent RPG if I can play it on just standard 1080p instead of 720p at top even when docked, u know what? even 4K is already almost half mainstream now, how can u put up with a game running at 720p/unstable 30FPS on a 300 bucks console? not even to mention the u know how ugly it is on handheld mode. For a lot of third party games, I don't usually bother complaining that, but are y'all just satisfied? didn't ever want anything better? For me, it should've been better if not those compromises. All above I said is just part of fact and part of my personal complaint, I DO NOT downplay anything about switch, it is because I like the system, I hope it can do better as simply a gamer. And Bofferbrauder, if you think I should go with PC if I don't like compromise, then I'll tell you, PC don't give me GOW, HZD then I bought PS4 pro, PC don't give me RDR2 in 4K then I bought one X, if I wanna play games at ultra setting, PC turned on, u want no compromise? just one is never OK, that's why I hope every one can do their best.

You have answerd your question yourself, if you are fine with outdated PS4 hardware why can someone not be satisfied with the Switch's hardware? In the mainstream market   Price>Gameplay>>>Graphics is important for getting a console. It is an old tradition that the succes of a Nintendo console gets downplayed.  The Wii was only succesfull because of it's price so could not be compared to the PS3.  The switch has some incredibile exclusive software it should not be a surprise.
