It would be eye gouging due to them releasing each game at 30$ and then releasing the much more valuable bundle, again, just like they did with USFII and the SF Collection. They would be abusing early buyers by getting them to buy the same content individually at a higher price before giving them the sensible option.

And as for DMC5 hype, I would say it's the opposite. Better release everything now that the iron is hot than wait until it dwindles.

I don't think you got my point ... I'm saying that the reason companies release retro games like this separately is often because the other games aren't ready. Again, the issue isn't raw power it would be optimization. I doubt they could just release them all now tbh (inb4 they tweet that 2 and 3 are coming like an hour from now).

Maybe, but I'm afraid this is less about offering the games when they are ready and more like maximizing profits with every release. Otherwise they would have waited to release the PS4 and the XBOne version of the trilogy alongside the Nintendo one, and not leave the Switch as the exception, with the games coming both late and one by one.

Namco Bandai is guilty of the same thing with the Dark Souls series (they release the trilogy version almost alongside DS1 on the Switch), this pratise is as underhanded as the Switch tax.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
