@underlined Lad the movie was 3 hours long trying its damnest to tie up so much plot.... to quote Stranges buddy "what?.... you wanted more?"

regarding your "that's not how time travel works" they took the time to tell you in the film a few times..... you know "how time travel works because of sci fi" unless you have proved and done time travel other than chugging forwards at a rate of 1 second per second like the rest of us I don't know how you feel confident enough to say how time travel "works" because it is for the most part a sci fi tool.

I'm a Marvel comic fanboy, I wanted lady Death, I wanted Fantastic Four, the X-men, I wanted Adam Warlock. I'd have Genis-Vell over Warbird 200% of the time. 'Tis my job to be picky.

And Marvel time travel is exactly as you saw, unpredictable and inconsistent, time travel isn't just go back and technically it's already happened as indicated this in this 4 or 5 events happened which changes the very timeline of the main MCU timeline, as the Ancient One stated. You can't just 'put it back and it's all sorted'. There are so many instances of time travel in Marvel that show one simple fact, the moment you travel back in time, it changes the timelines. Bishop, Cable, Kang, they try and change a past that has already happened but all it does is move forward slightly differently. Their presence alone affects things. These's futures have and will not come to pass in the way they think because of their presence alone, it is due to their free will. This was Bendis mistake on New X-men and why he lost me, claiming those X-men were the actual X-men, while they aged and gained powers too early.

Oh, if somebody digs up the old Avengers 2 thread, I'm pretty sure I said Cap was worthy of Mjolnir!

As a comic reader, we both know you said that and you are always right.

I know Iron Man was the film that started it all and he was the one who basically saved the day but I kinda didn't think he deserved the "honor". 2/3 of his films were just okay to me. Not bad but not "Winter Soldier good". In history, his books were never the most popular. He wasn't a mascot like Spidey, the first like Cap, or the Fantastic Four. But I'm a jaded old asshole. Ignore me. The way they handled his character in Civil War and the Avengers films was great.

You are right, no Iron Man film was Winter Soldier good, Iron man was best in films where he existed but wasn't the main character. Spider-man is the hero of Marvel comics, he is the greatest of them all. https://i.imgur.com/vflnrBq.jpg

Hmm, pie.
