I wouldn't say I dreamed of it, but it was something I thought I would reasonably enjoy, and something that I'd be good at.  Unfortunately I was wrong.  Part of it is me I'm sure. I tend to be really hard on myself when things aren't going well, which is a natural part of teaching.  I'm not always super organized which is important.  Part of it is the system being broken.  Like, when you have a class where some of your brighter students still add on their fingers and you're supposed to be teaching them things like multiplying decimals.

Understood... teaching is really for a very few people. Usually you'll either find people that are very passionate and want to pass down knowledge or you'll see people that failed at their fields retrieving for teaching position to put food on the table and complain all the time about being ill paid and whatnot.

I hope you can get back on your foot fast.

Thanks.  I took my LSATS and applied to law school.  So, I have a plan.  I'm just worried I'll wind up in the same position.  It sucks that with these kinds of jobs you have to put so much in before you know if it will work out for you.
