The obesity problem can be resolved by people eating whole food Vegan diet. It is high consumption of meat and dairy that leads to obesity. In America people regularly eat: 10 pound steaks, all you can fried chicken, seafood, pizza and super sized fast food meals. Americans are obese/fat because they simply eat too much meat and dairy. That freedom to eat what you want is making you all obese/fat and lots of health problems that are easily preventable by a change in diet.

On the other hand we have North African people that are slim and lean and stick to plant based diets. Most of the Olympic Gold Medallist from 800m to Marathon distances have all been from North Africa: Kenya, Ethiopia, Morocco, Algeria, etc. They mainly stick to a plant based diet and they are not obese/fat like many Americans and Europeans.

Paleo diets and other fad diets that push high consumption of meat/dairy in the long run only lead to obesity/fat and lots of health problems. Vegan diets reduce obesity/fat and reduce health problems.
