It stays a broken/vague theory atm the moment yes but that how a lot of things have started ;)

But for sound to be transferable it would have to interact with baryonic particles.  Sound is the vibration of baryonic particles though a medium.  It's a motion of energy that requires interaction between successive particles. If that energy reaches a point where it can no longer interact with nearby particles, it ceases to propagate.  And because dark matter does not interact with baryonic particles, sound cannot propagate through it.

Sorry to still go further on this but can't radio waves be a possibility to connect with frequencies of objects and other sources that emits them?
