Ranking the shows I watched this season.

6. Domestic Girlfriend

This show was the greatest dumpster fire I have seen in my life. The drama in this show is incredibly spicy, that thanks to the insane love triangle between a teenager male, a teacher, and girl who he had a one night stand both of which happen to be his step siblings was one hell of a roller coaster. Gonna catch up on the Manga some time within the next week, just so I know how spicy things are gonna get next.

5. The Rising of the Shield Hero

I really like this show, Naofumi has been a great protagonist so far and I am looking to seeing how he will inevitably get his revenge. My only problems with the show is that it does peak a little early with Episode 4 being easily the best episode so far and I am not sure how I feel about Raphtalia being a 10 to 12 year old, having the body of a 16 to 18 year old. It doesn't really help that I honestly though do enjoy the chemistry between Raphtalia and Naofumi, granted that might have to do something with the voice actors for both characters, since they voiced Mai and Sakuta in Rascal Doesn't Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai which was my AOTY last year with a the chemistry between Mai and Sakuta being one of my favorite parts of that show. But still, those are just some small problems I had with an otherwise good show.

4. The Quintessential Quintuplets

For a harem, this had no right to be as good as it was. A wholesome harem about a guy being a tutor to a set of 5 sisters, which just turns out to be a flashback as the series opens with the protagonist on his wedding day, where the bride is one of the 5 of the sisters. So its also a mystery show, as part of the fun is trying to guess and theorize who the bride might be. I really did enjoy the characters, all 5 of the sisters were great though some did make better first impression then others and Futaro was a breath of fresh air the harem genre, as he didn't really feel like a self-insert protagonist. I decided to pick up the Manga since the Anime ends on a cliff hanger, oh boy I hope we get a season 2 so some of the best moments of the series can get animated.

3. Kaguya-Sama Love is War

Now I only caught up on the Manga recently, but man this was a great adaption and both the Anime and the Manga is probably the funniest Anime since Konosuba. The mind game's between Kaguya and Shirogane are always a treat, Fujiwara being a wild card makes best girl and I can't remember the last time I related to a character as much as I did with Ishigami.

2. The Promised Neverland

I read the Manga back in the summer, so I was pretty excited for this adaption and I thought it did a great job at delivering on that front. The choices they had for the voice actors were all great and got the atmosphere perfectly done to a T. I know there some parts cut the inner monologues and some scenes, but those was still a really good adaption of one of the best Manga's in recent years.

1. Domestic Girlfriend

I'm gonna be real with you, I can't tell if this dumpster fire was something I either unironically enjoyed or ironically enjoyed. Like you can make a compelling argument that this is either a trashy show with great moments or a great show with trashy moments.  So I am putting it at the bottom and top for my favorite show of Winter 2019.
