Your quote is literally taken from the injection locking page on Wikipedia which is about harmonic oscillations.  That is vibrations which require a medium to travel through. 

Yes, the sun also oscillates.  The study of which is known as helioseismology. But again, those sound waves do not propagate beyond its atmosphere.

If dark matter is a possibility then the suns helioseismology could go beyond the atmosphere and connect through it.
