Eventually, yes. Just wait for hardware to catch up.
Or simply spend more and potentially outlive multiple console generations, enjoy cheaper games, free online and so on, choice is yours.

Rubbish.
I do own consoles as well you know.
And I can assure you that the update/install times for consoles is absolutely terrible compared to my PC's.
