These sells are much more impressive......they have so much more competition from other AAA games compared to Nintendo which typically is only good for indies and their own games

The most impressive part is without a doubt the fact that they have so many IPs that are selling these numbers. Whereas if you look at Nintendo it’s always the same Mario and Pokémon, barring the occasional lightning in a bottle Wii Sports type success. And of course Zelda has finally broken the 10 million barrier after over 3 decades. MS on the other hand deserves no mention as they have ever only been able to make one 10 million seller and that was over a decade ago when Halo 3 did it.

Pokemon, Mario (kart, 3d, 2d), Zelda, splatoon, animal crossing, smash bros. With almost every  other franchise also having growth on the switch. Nintendo already have 5 games over 10 million  compared to sonys 4 (last of us doesnt count it counts ps3 + ps4) with a third of the userbase sony has in a much shorter space of time. Also a large portion of Sony's games are sold at a discount.

Also go back to the Wii/ds era and nintendo had 19 games sell over 10 million, 10 games over 20 million and 5 over 30 million. Don't get me wrong Sony is doing great and I hope they keep growing but they ain't anywhere near this level yet.
