Damn, it’s like Sony vs all other publishers. 4 wins in the last 10 years, and contenders in the top 5 almost every year. Now with their philosophy of giving all their devs all the time and resources they want to make their dream projects it’ll be hard for anyone else to win GOTY again. Rockstar and CDPR are the only devs that have any chance of competing against Sony’s devs and Rockstar has been bested twice in a row now.
Next up Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part II, with Ghost of Tsushima and Dreams also strong contenders. Only non Sony game that has any chance is Cyberpunk 2077.
