Love your graph and numbers but how can the PS4's baseline be higher this year than last year when it has sold 288k less units?

I'm trying to make sense of this as well. Last year Monster Hunter seemed to have a major effect on hardware for several weeks, so maybe that's where the 288k figure comes from? And then is the baseline determined from the past 52 weeks, so even though it's down 288k, it doesn't offset the rest of the year? Yeah, I'm at a bit of a loss. You can see from the first week in the chart that the PS4 was above the Switch. It just had a really good January.

Thanks. Indeed it seems odd the first time the numbers came up. Will double check it

If you calculate a baseline, then it must be higher for the first months coming from the holidays, because sales will drop a bit for some time more. So basically, it is too early to have a fixed baseline for the year. Last years baseline is based on the slow summer months, which are still in the future for this year.
