Right out of the gate, we can see all three systems picking up where they left off from this past holiday season. The Switch is surging to the top while the PS4 and Xbox One are clearly on the decline. However, with recent hardware numbers, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Resident Evil 2 did not seem to have much of an effect on hardware. It looks as though the drop for PS4 and Xbox One may be steeper than I thought, especially in the Xbox One's case. I'm sure Sony is in no real rush to bring in the PS5, Microsoft on the other hand.... Yeah, I'm sure they're counting down the days. Meanwhile, everything is looking sunnyside up for Nintendo. With how stacked 2019 is shaping up after their recent Nintendo Direct, there's no telling how high the Switch will go. In fact, I think they're gonna go for that 20 million target again, and this time, if all goes as planned and they maintain their release schedule + whatever else they have planned, I think they'll do it!
