https://www.pcgamer.com/neill-blomkamp-hints-at-involvement-with-anthem/
Update: The Anthem project hinted by Neill Blomkamp yesterday is a live-action short called Conviction: An Anthem Story. Give the teaser a watch above.
Details are sparse at the moment, but we'll be able to see what it's like living in Fort Tarsis and, of course, get to watch Freelancers and their Javelins getting into lots of fights as they carve a path to the leader of the Dominion, the Monitor.

https://www.pcgamer.com/dice-awards-livestream/
The 22nd Annual DICE Awards are being held tomorrow, February 13, at 8 pm PST. The 56 nominees were announced last month, spread across more than 20 categories, and since we've already had a few award shows covering 2018's multitude of games, you'll spot a lot of the usual suspects, including Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. With six nominations for Obra Dinn, PC games are at least getting some love.

What kind of PC specs will you need to make sure all that punching action runs smoothly? Bandai Namco has posted the system requirements and released an appropriately over-the-top launch trailer for everyone to enjoy.
>> Careful with the game, apparently it has terrible cut-scenes.

Obsidian wishes people would stop using The Outer Worlds to knock Fallout 76
https://www.pcgamer.com/obsidian-wishes-people-would-stop-using-the-outer-worlds-to-knock-fallout-76/
The Outer World's billing as "from the original creators of Fallout" seemed particularly pointed in light of Fallout 76's many problem—not to mention that Bethesda's latest Fallout abandoned the series' traditional single-player post-nuclear storytelling in favor of open-ended multiplayer base-building. But co-directors Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky told Game Informer that there's no anti-Bethesda strategy at play, and they don't like it when people use their game to bash someone else's.

In the lead up to Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 4 kickoff later this week, Ubisoft has announced much needed housekeeping for the game’s many versions. This new consolidation lowers the average price of the game and eliminates the version we all tell our friends not to buy—the Starter Edition.
>> And it has a free weekend that will start tomorrow and end Feb 17th.

Metro Exodus will preload on Steam but not the Epic Games Store
https://www.pcgamer.com/metro-exodus-will-preload-on-steam-but-not-the-epic-games-store/
Metro Exodus is exclusive to the Epic Games Store, unless you pre-purchased it on Steam prior to January 29, in which case you'll get it on Steam. It's a little strange, but probably the least-awkward way to handle the awkwardness of switching platforms just a few weeks before release.
What's even stranger is that, according to the Metro Exodus Twitter account, people who get the game on Steam will be given a preload period, but those on Epic's store will not.

Apex Legends players have discovered a secret monster
https://www.pcgamer.com/apex-legends-players-have-discovered-a-secret-monster/
Since its launch last week, players have been discovering cute little Loch Ness dolls hidden around Apex Legends' map. It's in keeping with a Respawn tradition. Similar mini-Nessie (Nessy in Apex) dolls were hidden in Titanfall maps back when.
As is instinct when spotting anything cute in a game, Apex players shot the doll to see what happened. And something did: "A Nessy Appears..." shows up in the killfeed.
