Yeah, it's pretty trash compared to many other developed countries. So I understand why Sony'd be hesitant to embrace game streaming in the future unless the infrastructure does change which is looking more promising but not in a timely fashion for the US. I actually thought Sony would embrace streaming for next gen but now that they're not, I'm really interested to see what PS5 will be.
Sony has said that they can't ignore the success of the Nintendo Switch so I thought they'd just make PS5 game streaming a part of their services for all devices. However, it seems like perhaps they might just be making a home console and ditch dedicated handhelds.
As for them skipping E3, I think they'd rather just have their own event so they don't have to compete with journalists time, mindshare, etc. I think it's smart but it will definitely feel like something's missing this E3 that's for sure.
