Having a high bar for itself doesn't make the conversation not applicable.
Nintendo haven't dominated USA since SNES. PS1, PS2, X360 and PS4 (with X1 really close) have won USA.
I haven't dragged sales outside Japan as I didn't put any numbers. I just said that the fact that only Sony itself would be able to come close to their top rankers don't make we stop comparing PS4 to its top rankers ever since day 1. So not sure why that would be a problem to compare Switch to Nintendo top rank ranking in Japan.
