My game of the year, so becuase they think like me they're great!!, if not, they would be trash....of course.

I predicted this would happen when RDR 2 launched with a 97 metacritic. I ranted then that i thought it was overrated and the press untrustworthy, and that it will be like 2013 again with TLOU and GTA V, and after the game awards this became pretty clear.

I love GTA V to death and I love Red dead too but there's no doubt TLOU and GOW are better overall games. Two big pros they have is the gameplay is better and they're not riddled with shark card/gold bar type microtransactions.

I was surprised then with TLOU and surprised now with GOW how much i liked the gameplay with higher difficulties. Both games are adventure games where you have to survive countless enemies and dangerous situations while you live traumatic experiences in the process. Each time you beat a strong point in those games, you feel you were suffering like the character did and that was the biggest triumph a videogame can do for me. And with GOW in particular...., the combat took me by surprise even more. I have a love/hate relationship with souls games, and their difficulty, so i had doubts with this game before playing it, but the moment i started GOW i couldn't stop playing, even when i was stuck with a boss i couldn't beat after hours trying, i still was enjoying everything. The gameplay was so polish and so well designed that has put the bar very high for other games for me.
