Honestly, Brexit was absolutely idiotic. The EU was created to counter the U.S so that the countries in the union had a bigger say in the economy and world affairs. Nowadays you could say the EU is also used to counter China and soon India, therefore in the event the U.K leaves the EU it will have no bargaining power whatsoever against the gargantuan top 3 economies of the future. Also, most of the E7 countries will eventually catch up or surpass the U.K in terms of economic power bringing more competition to international markets and thus less of a need to trade with the U.K. individually especially if the kingdom were to split up.
