There is a big difference between skipping an E3 and never doing an E3 show again, Sony does not really need an E3 everyone knows the games in the pipeline, no major new announcements to make so why go through the mess of E3 . PS5 is coming in 2020 so Sony finds themselves in situation where E3 isn't that important
