Sexual physical needs met but no emotional connection. Sex workers usually despise their male clients, society looks down on both sex workers and their clients. Bring on the sex robots and the costs of sex robots will reduce over time. With sex robots, men will not be judged by society. Strong laws that criminalise clients(johns) is better than targeting the poor women that are often coerced into sex work by abusive partners(pimps) or financial reasons. The sex workers are human beings that have usually coerced into sex work and are victims. The majority of sex workers have no choice in third world countries. There are a minority of high class escorts in first world countries claiming it is their choice their body. Many sex workers are frequently owned by pimps and brothel madams and controlled by criminal gangs in first world countries. Sex workers on fake student visas brought in from third world countries to work in first world brothels are not their by choice when they have to work to pay off debts.

Prohibition doesn't solve those problems though; where prostitution is criminalized, it is controlled entirely by criminals, thereby increasing rates of coercion, trafficking, exploitation, and other forms of abuse.
