I don't think they've censored any below CERO D, they are targeting games that would have or did receive CERO D (17+) and CERO Z (18+) ratings and forcing additional changes. It's senseless, even Nintendo, who was awful about censoring games last gen, is allowing many of these same games on Switch unaltered.

I agree that it's kinda nonsense to make it hard for those CERO D+ games, but I still think that Sony will only censor a bunch of silly small ecchi games that in the end it'll make no difference. Those games must make a very small percentage for Sony but every time they showed up, they make bad press. It's bad for the devs though, but this sort of content fits PC better.

Japanese are obsessed about underage girl hentai and it doesn't fit in the West at all. If Sony wants to be more like a western company, like Microsoft, Apple or Google. Can a dev upload this sort of game to Apple Store? I don't know, really, I suppose not. So I guess it's not a bad move to get away from this sort of filthy little content. It's shocking for most people to see "cartoon kids" that way, even when it's rated mature.

Why does it fit PC better? These games sell more on console than they do on PC. In the West, that isn't always the case, but we're talking about Japanese games that will only ever be released in Japan.

and nothing you said in the second paragraph has anything to do with what has been done or any policy change. Microsoft and Valve have fewer restrictions for their platforms, and the Apple Store/Google Play market both allow more explicit things than what has been censored.
