Also majorly, the uses of a physic engine that changes all the dynamics of how you explore the world and combat your enemies. To be honest, comparing these 2 games isn't a worthwhile venture since you can point out so many things that are just not the same by design. Case in point, the tutorial section's of both. |
All are quite different indeed.
Botw: Smaller play area you get dumped in immediately with lot of fun things to find and do while learning the core mechanics. At first you don't even realize you're in a restricted area, then your mind gets blown when you get to the real world.
RDR2: 2 to 3 hour linear mission that fails when you leave the path. (you get to chose whether you want to do hunt or assault first)
HZD: Shorter linear mission to dump you in a restricted area. Takes 10 hours for the game to open up and get good.
Spiderman: Short linear mission with vertical learning curve, not the best idea. But damn those controls are polished to perfection.
Really. all 4 are amazing to play and if anything stands out as falling behind it would be Tomb raider. I don't feel like picking that up anymore at all after starting RDR2.
