As a guy i'll always try to come up with something first expecting her to eventually take the turn but when it doesn't happen it really starts to get old.

I'm okay with her telling me about her family, that way i can prepare myself for whenever i'm supposed to meet them. What i don't like and always try to avoid is getting to know the parents, and other family members when it isn't even sure if our relationship will go anywhere.

Exactly. I probably wouldn't mind if i already had a kid of my own because then we could share our experiences as parents and not her trying to lecture me how i dont know what it's like to be a parent.
