I think I'm not mistaken in assuming that most PCs built for gaming have only 16GB in them (I have been running on around 24GB since 2011 or more).

This is kind of tricky, as the xbox one X has 12 (and it seems to make a good difference for textures (unless it's really the bandwidth that helps?)

so 24 or 32 would still be possible, but given how much it costs I'd assume 16-24 is more realistic (I'd rather take a faster GPU/CPU than more memory that will be used less often... notice that I would prefer them to offer support for 120+fps in games as opposed to emphasize 4K gaming, but given a fixed power envelope it's really up to the developers to make the call on this one.

 

So Sony had better LISTEN TO ME over Cerny!
