That a generous appraisal of the situation for the guys on Nurmagomedov's team. The "colleague" who rushed Conor from the front swung at Conor. Conor swung as well, at exactly the same time. What was Mcgregor supposed to do? Take a punch in the face without defending himself? And the crazed ape climbing the Octagon behind Conor was initially coming inside the cage for what purpose? A hug? Hit hit Conor from behind within 1 second of the first confrontation. I highly doubt his intentions were ever in question to begin with, much less shaped by the confrontation that proceeded it. There a few different angles I've seen. That's what happened in those moments.
