I still think Sega has taken a safe cheap option here. They could have made it with the Yakuza engine but with linear levels and I think it would have been far better.

As much as a SoR fan I am, I will patiently wait and see. I'm glad Sega had finally brought the game back, but we need to see how good a job this indie dev is able to do.

At least some get it. What SEGA is doing is using Indies to justify low effort. Why couldn't Ancient develop? Because it would have been more expensive  

They should have gone with the safest option and remade the first one. Had it gone well they could have made a fully fledged SoR4.

 

If this game don't do well, they won't bother with a proper funded one.
