Hi there, fellows. Has anyone here played Salt and Sanctuary, Furi and (or) Dead Cells on Switch? I really wanted some impressions because I will eventually get all those games and the Switch would be my go to place for that kind of thing, but since action games need reliable performance to be more enjoyable, I was wondering if it wouldn't be better to get one or some of those on my PC. A guy's review, for instance, made me give up from getting Slain: Back from Hell on Switch because the framerate seems to be very unstable in the systems version. Heard similar things on Metascore user reviews for Furi. Any thoughts?

regarding Furi I played through quite a bit of that on the PS4 but have to say after picking it up in the last week on the Switch (it's just 11.99 right now) the port seems solid enough, I've just done one encounter, playing it on the big screen and the most glaring thing to me was the lack of shadows or definite reduction of shadows in scenes compared to what I recall on the ps4 (it's been a while since playing it but it does look strange without them on the Switch) that said the first fight in the game seemed flawless to me, but I know that some of the later battles would have a lot more action in them and I could see the switch faltering a little bit given it already seems to be at the edge of its abilities in the very first fight. You know what I'll play the next few fights now in handheld mode and let you know in a while how they go! But for 11.99 that game is a steal imo, if you have patience with tough fights!  Some battles are like... 20 mins long and if you fail x 3 you gotta start at the very beginning.

Edit - Played bosses 2 and 3 in handheld mode with headphones on, was pretty much as good as the docked version , not perfect but at no point did the performance hamper the gameplay for me, would say at the very least you are talking about 40-45fps and generally waivering around the 50-55 the rest of the time, never near or below 30 in my experience. really if you haven't played Furi this is a game worth playing, but again the main issues isn't going to be performance, it's similar to cuphead in a way, that you really don't get much game outside of the boss fights, but those boss fights are incredible. (also, play it with headphones or sound on)

That's awesome, Ganon, thanks a lot! :) I'm no stranger to (very) long boss fights being somewhat of a Monster Hunter veteran, so this game seems to be right up my alley. You've just helped the guys make another sale. 👍
