Some people are WAY too defensive about this. If you want to settle for a 2D game, fine. Go for it.
Many of us will not. Period.
And, nobody said graphics were "all that mattered". Sure, gameplay is most important. If I didn't believe that, I'd play nothing but AAA action games and shooters. But, I don't. I play almost 100% Turn-Based games. But, even if graphics aren't the MOST important aspect of a game, they DO matter.
