You guys genuinely scare me. I've seen many saying they didn't buy clothes at all in the past years... that's worrisome. As the years go by, I feel like we're living in a post apocalyptic fashion world where people dress as beggars, only with leftovers, lack of coherence, mismatching colors, etc.

I wonder why this is happening. In the past people were self aware and cared about looking good and had basic fashion knowledge, but not today

It's called a point of view. Personally, I'm scared that someone could spend $8500 on clothes in half a year. I mean, dude, $8500!! I'm not sure I ever spent that much money my whole life (not including expenses paid by other people of course).

I have absolutely no reason to buy new clothes if I have enough variety currently available. All I need is a few shirts, pants, socks, underwear, shoes and jackets for each situation (home/outside, cold/warm) and I'm good to go. 3 or 4 options for each situation, it's very much enough as long as you do a thing called "laundry". I always try to look alright when I'm going anywhere, but I don't need $8500-high standards for that, I can get by with cheaper stuff.

I've many more things to care about than my appearance.

That’s a pretty ridiculous sum of money to be spending on clothes or anything if you’re not rich. I mean if he has the money great but still. This is a lot of ppl today. https://goo.gl/images/h3bPxH

They buy expensive things they can’t afford and things they really need like groceries, rent, car repairs/payments, they’re broke and lose their house, car gets repossessed, etc.
